My Opinion of the Greenworks PRO 2300 PSI TruBrushless (2.3 GPM) Electric Pressure Washer

Greenworks Pro 2300 Review

4.5
(2)

Every year I used to go to Home Depot and rent a pressure washer to clean my driveways. it was around $140 to rent the pressure washer with the concrete attachment for 4 hours. I had to borrow my Dad’s truck to haul it to and from the Home Depot. I had to get gas. The big concrete attachment made doing the concrete super easy and made my driveways look like fresh concrete almost. It just makes your whole property look better when the concrete looks good.

Then I bought the Greenworks PRO 2300 Electric Pressure Washer
I made the purchase back in 2021 and have been using it ever since with no issue so far (May 2023).

What I Like About The Greenworks Pro 2300

Lightweight

This is a big reason to buy one of these. Its a one person lift, and weighs probably a 3rd of the weight of the gas powered unit I had rented. I don’t know the actual weight, but I can lift it into the back of a Subaru with no problem. Very transportable!

Plenty of Power

My big question I had at first was: Are these electric pressure washers as powerful as the gas pressure washers? Well the one I was renting from home depot was a 3200 PSI Honda gas powered unit, and the Greenworks is 2300 psi.  Despite that 900 psi difference the Greenworks does everything the Honda would do for around the house. So I would say yes in my case. If I were needing commercial strength power I would go with 3200 psi and above. Around the house the 2300 psi does everything I need.

No Mainteneance

No tune-ups, no mixing fuels, no oils. It can sit for a season, and when you plug it in, it just works! My dad had a gas powered pressure washer, but every time I would go to borrow it, we couldn’t get it started because it had been sitting and refused to start.

Less Noise

This is another great by-product of using an electric pressure washer. It’s much less noisy. The thing sits in silence until you actually pull the trigger and then the electric pump starts up. The pump is almost as loud as a gas unit, but Id say its a little quieter. But the fact it doesn’t run continuously is what makes the overall experience seem quieter if that makes sense.

What Can You Use It For?

Pressure washing Concrete

I used it for all my concrete walkways and driveway using the concrete attachment. It does great! The attachment is only about 10 inches wide, but for around the house that’s plenty. It took me about 25 minutes to clean my back porch which is about 16 x 8 feet.

Pressure washing brick

I used it to clean the mold on my chimney where the gutter leaks water on the side.

Metal Roofing

I loaned this unit to my Dad and he cleaned the metal roof of his house and garage. It was light enough for him to get it up a ladder and onto the roof. My Dad is in his 70s, but he is a work machine though!

Pressure Washing Vehicles and Machinery

You could use this thing to pressure wash your car, but I don’t use it for that. I just go to the the drive through carwash and and get it over with. I imagine though, if you had a business with trucks and machinery, this little unit could really come in handy. Since its hard to break, the knuckleheads working for you might not screw it up too quick.

Conclusion

For me, the Greenworks has more than paid for itself at this point, and if it died tomorrow, I would still feel like I made out good. I have been using at my house since 2021, I loaned it to my Dad, he pressure washed his metal roof, I did a friends driveway, and this thing just keep working.

The convenience of having your own very powerful and capable pressure washer that requires no maintenance, and is light enough to literally throw in the back of your cars hatchback, is what makes this thing worth it. I would never rent another beastly gas machine unless..well screw that. I can’t think of a reason right now.
